Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

AI Transformation Guru is a small advisory product that helps SMB and lower-mid-market leaders identify a practical, payback-focused first AI move. We are a US-based business reachable at sales@aitransformationguru.com.

2. Information you give us

When you register or join the beta, we collect:

• Your email address, used to sign in and to receive service-related messages.
• A password, never stored in plain text — it is hashed by our authentication provider.
• A business profile when you submit one — typically your company name, first and last name, and your role (for example: Director, VP, Decision Maker). We collect this so reports can be tailored to your context. Some of these fields land as we extend the registration flow during beta.
• Anything you choose to include when you contact us by email or respond to follow-up questions about your business.

3. Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, our hosting and authentication providers automatically collect technical information needed to operate the service: IP address, browser type, request timestamps, and basic server logs. This is standard for any modern web application and is used only to keep the service running, debug problems, and prevent abuse.

4. How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

• Operate the service and let you sign in to your account.
• Tailor reports and recommendations to your business context.
• Respond to your questions and provide customer support.
• Send service-related emails (for example: password reset, future order confirmations, future report-ready notifications).

We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary to sign you in and keep you signed in. These session cookies are handled by our authentication provider.

If we enable analytics, we use a privacy-respecting tool (Plausible) that does not profile individual visitors and does not use advertising cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or third-party advertising trackers.

6. Service providers

We rely on a small set of established service providers to operate AI Transformation Guru:

• Hosting and platform: the website and application run on Vercel.
• Authentication, database, and file storage: handled by Supabase.
• Payment processing (future): when paid orders are offered, payment will be handled by a third-party processor. We will not store credit-card details directly.
• Email delivery (future): transactional emails will be sent through a third-party email provider when that feature ships.

Each provider has its own privacy practices. We choose established providers with strong security postures.

7. Data security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your data: HTTPS encryption in transit, password hashing handled by our authentication provider, deny-by-default database access, and server-side authorization checks on every protected action. No system is perfectly secure, but we take it seriously.

8. Your choices and your data

You can:

• Update your account information by signing in to your account.
• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you by emailing sales@aitransformationguru.com.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at the same address.

How deletion works (tombstone policy)

When you request account deletion, we delete or anonymize your assessment responses, snapshots, report PDFs, and feedback within a reasonable time. We retain a minimal “tombstone” profile record for 30 days containing only your profile ID, email, a deletion-requested-at timestamp, a deletion-completed-at timestamp, and a status of “deleted”. Your sign-in remains active during the window so you can confirm the deletion took effect by signing in (you'll see a simple confirmation page). After 30 days, the tombstoned profile and its sign-in record may be purged, unless minimal payment or legal records require retention.

This is a founder-initiated process during beta — there is no self-service deletion button yet. We will add one later.

9. Children's privacy

AI Transformation Guru is intended for business use by adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy over time. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users when practical.
